Made by everyone who was there

Your group’s whole story, in one place.

Start a board for the trip and everyone adds their photos, videos, notes and songs as it happens. Keep the people you do it with in a club, with the group chat, the next event and every board you’ve made together.

What the video shows: “Your group chat is losing your photos.” A finished board, Tahoe weekend · September 2026, with 44 posts from 6 members. “Step 1 · Make a board for the trip.” Create, then the Trip template, and the title Tahoe weekend is typed in. “Step 2 · Invite everyone who was there.” The board is created, and the “Who was there?” sheet offers one link to share and a QR code to scan. “They join as Contributors.” Four friends are each invited as a Contributor. “Step 3 · Everyone adds their photos.” Their photos land in batches: 5 posts, then 17, then 44. “One board. Every angle.” Reading down the finished board’s photos. End card: the Passboards dragonfly and wordmark. “Free on the App Store.” The video is silent.

What lives in Passboards

More than an album.

It started as the place for the weekend’s photos. Now it’s where your group keeps the rest of it too: the words, the songs, the plans and the chat.

  • Boards

    A board for every trip

Photos and videos from everyone who was there, laid out as one calm spread. Tap any moment to see it full screen, then swipe through the lot.

  • Write

    Notes and essays

Post a quick note or a long piece with headings, quotes and lists. Longer ones open in a full-screen reader.

  • Music

    The soundtrack

Share a song, album or playlist from Spotify or Apple Music, with a 30-second preview right in the feed.

  • Clubs

    A home for the group

Every club has its own mark and address, a group chat, announcements, and events people can RSVP to.

  • Messages

    Talk it over

Direct messages and club chats with reactions. Like and comment on anything, and send any post or board straight into a chat.

  • Widget

    Back on your Home Screen

The Highlights widget brings recent memories back to your Home Screen as sharp, full-bleed photos, on iPhone and Android.

Monday morning

Never send this text again.

The board was already in the chat. Nobody had to collect the photos afterward.

Get three replies and a thumbs-up

The best ones are still on someone else’s phone

Clubs

For the people you keep making plans with.

A ski club, a Sunday run, the friends who take a trip every winter. Every time the group gets together, start a new board. The club keeps them in one place, with the group chat, announcements and the next event right beside them.

Every club has its own mark and an address like passboards.com/c/tahoe-ski-club. Share a post with your clubs and it lands in their Tagged section. Nobody outside the club sees the tag.

Privacy and safety

Your people, not an audience.

What you share is for the people you share it with. The rules are written down plainly, and they describe what the app actually does.

  • Private when you want it

Every board is public or private, with roles for who can post. Clubs can be invite-only, and profiles can be private.

  • No location on your photos

Location and camera details are stripped from the files before they upload. Nobody sees where a photo was taken unless you add a place.

  • Block and report

Block or report a person, post, comment or club, right where you see it.

  • No ads today. No ad trackers.

No advertising identifiers, and we don’t sell your information. Our public web pages set no cookies and run no analytics. The app’s usage analytics go only to our own servers.

Turn them off in Settings › Privacy.

New in Passboards 2.0.11

You stay signed in, and you keep your place.

  • Stay signed in

Opening Passboards with no connection no longer sends you back to the sign-in screen, and the photos and videos waiting to upload stay in the queue.

  • Your place holds

When new posts land while you are scrolled down a board, it no longer jumps back to the top. Your inbox stays where you were reading when someone writes.

  • Uploads and exports say so

Uploads that have to wait say so, and carry on by themselves. Export checks for space before it starts, and Try again carries on from where it stopped.

  • Low Power Mode

While your iPhone is in Low Power Mode, videos in a feed wait for a tap instead of starting by themselves, and a club Look’s effects hold still.

  • Delete, where you look for it

Delete is always on screen in a board’s menu, and Edit Board has a Delete Board button at the bottom of the form.

  • A smaller app

Parts that were no longer used are gone, and the Highlights widget does far less work in the background, and none at all if you have not added it.

Also new, from Passboards 2.0.10

  • Arrange a board’s posts

Choose Arrange Posts in the board’s menu, then touch and hold a post and drag it where you want it. Or pick Newest first or Oldest first.

  • Boards and clubs, your way

Sort your boards and your clubs, pin up to six of each to the top, and drag them into place. Visitors to your profile see your board pins and order.

  • Ten Passboards looks

Ten new looks replace the old filters in the photo editor, from Clean, Film and Golden to Ink and After Dark, plus Auto, which reads each photo and adjusts it.

  • Position the cover

When you choose a photo as a board’s cover, drag and pinch to pick the part that shows. The post itself doesn’t change.

  • Share to your Instagram Story

Share a post or a board to your Instagram Story as a Passboards card, in three styles: Paper, Ink and Photo. It’s in post and board menus, under Share Link.

  • Follow back

After you confirm a follow request, the person stays on the list with a Follow back button, so you don’t have to search for them.

Make the board before you go.

Add the group now. Come home to everyone’s photos, and keep the club going after.

Free on iPhone and Android, with no ads today. iOS 26 or later, Android 10 or later. The Android app is on Google Play in the United States.
